Wild blueberry hot chocolate Picture New Recipe

Ingredients

  • 310 ml (1 1/4 cups) milk
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) cocoa powder
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) maple syrup
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) frozen wild blueberries
  • 5 ml (1/2 tsp.) vanilla extract
  • A few mini marshmallows for garnish (optional)

Preparation

  1. Heat 60 ml (1/4 cup) milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add cocoa and whisk until thickened.
  2. Add remaining milk, maple syrup and wild blueberries. Heat until starting to boil, but no more. Add vanilla.
  3. Blend with a stand mixer or other type of electric mixer until smooth and frothy.
  4. Pour into a glass and garnish with marshmallows, if desired.
  5. Note: strain hot chocolate if you prefer it smooth.
