Spicy wild blueberry infusion Picture New Recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 ml (2 cups) water
  • 250 ml (1 cup) frozen wild blueberries
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 piece fresh ginger, 3 cm, diced
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Press the wild blueberries against the side of the pan to extract the juice.
  2. Strain through a sieve and press through the sieve to remove as much liquid as possible.
  3. Enjoy or refrigerate until needed, when you can reheat the infusion.
